Welcome to Real Simple’s Game Changers issue!

Our brand mission has always been to help you make your life easier, and usually that involves us showing you the things that will help you cook, clean, and get ready for the day more easily. For that reason, our inaugural Game Changers issue is exciting for us, because—in addition to all the clever finds and solutions we’re known for—we found this amazing group of people from whom we can all learn a lot.

And who better to symbolize this shift than our first-ever cover star: the dynamic, down-to-earth Kristen Bell! Her descriptors are many: wife, mom, actor, producer, author, baby products mogul... hm, what else? Disney princess! And she, too, endorses tapping our fellow humans for guidance. “I love advice. I like giving it, I like getting it, all of it,” she told me when we sat down in December. “If you have a solution—how you stay healthy, how you sleep-trained your baby—I want to know how you guys did it because I want to see if it works for me.”

To that end, we hope you’ll peruse the advice of Bell and her fellow game-changers, including professional chefs, cleaners and organizers, beauty experts, an Alzheimer’s researcher, an automotive CEO, a Paralympian, and at least one ballerina. They’ll help you understand the ways they eat, work, love, and play.

And don’t worry... as a special extension of our popular Clever Items franchise, this digital issue also includes plenty of things to help you on your journey. Because we’re honored to be among those people whose advice you trust to change your game. —Mickey O’Connor, Senior Editorial Director
