Sure, winter can leave you with chapped lips, dry hands, and brittle hair, but one of our favorite parts about the (occasionally) unbearably cold season is that it gives us the perfect excuse to dust off our favorite cold-weather soup recipes, or better yet, give some new recipes a try.

However, given that many soups are made with an array of spices and other ingredients you might not typically have on hand, making soup is often a very involved undertaking. Still, not all soups require you to purchase a dozen (or more) ingredients you'll likely never use again. In fact, we've come up with 12 savory soups that, in addition to providing an antidote to the winter blues, can be made with 10 ingredients or less.

What's more? We're guessing that for many of these soup recipes, you likely have most (if not all) of the ingredients at home already, which means no extra trips to the grocery store in the freezing cold for you.

Keep reading to find out which easy and comforting soup you should make tonight!
